Steady Privacy Policy

Your information

Steady is developed by Christopher Bloodworth. The app stores the daily actions, check-ins, sobriety dates and reset history, calendar markers, and settings you enter on your device. It uses this information to show your history, calculate routine scores, and provide the features you choose.

Collection and sharing

Steady does not require an account, operate a server that receives your app records, or include advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics. The developer does not receive your app records automatically and does not sell them. Apple may provide app diagnostics under your device and TestFlight sharing settings; these are governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

Backups you choose

You can export or restore a backup through Files. If you choose iCloud Drive, another storage provider, or a sharing destination, that provider handles the file under its own privacy policy. Backup files are not password-protected; anyone with access to a file can read its contents. Apple’s device backups are controlled separately in system Settings. Steady does not automatically synchronize devices. Copies created by Steady’s former iCloud feature remain in your Apple account unless separately removed and are no longer updated or downloaded by the app.

Reminders and your choices

Optional reminders are scheduled locally using Apple’s notification service on your device. You can turn reminders off in Steady or revoke notification permission in system Settings. You can use the other app features without allowing notifications.

Retention and deletion

Your app information stays on the device until you change it, erase it using Settings → Erase All User Data, or delete the app. Erasing app data also removes local recovery copies. Exported files, Apple device backups, former iCloud copies, and copies on other devices are separate; remove those through their respective storage services if you want to delete them. The developer cannot access, recover, or erase those copies for you.

Please avoid sending sensitive health history. Material changes to these practices will be reflected in this policy and its effective date.
